Connect your AI assistant (MCP)

Add Ventur3 to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, or a developer tool, then sign in and approve read-only access.

Every assistant uses the same Ventur3 steps. You add a connector in the assistant, sign in to Ventur3, and approve what it can see. The details below are the parts that differ by assistant.

The steps every assistant uses

  1. In your AI assistant, add a new custom connector and paste the Ventur3 connector address:

    https://mcp.ventur3.com

  2. The assistant sends you to Ventur3 to sign in. Use your normal Ventur3 email and password. Your password is never shared with the assistant.

  3. Ventur3 shows an approval screen. Review it and choose Allow.

  4. You return to the assistant, now connected. Try a question such as: "Which venues responded to my most recent RFP, and how do their rates compare?"

The approval screen shows:

  • The application asking for access, and the website it will send data to. Assistants Ventur3 recognises are labelled as recognised. Anything else is marked unverified.
  • Your name and your organisation.
  • What you are granting, in plain words: read-only access to your organisation's RFPs, proposals, venues, and documents, acting as you. The assistant's provider will receive that data.

Choose Allow to connect, or Deny to stop. Nothing is shared if you deny.

Claude

Claude works on claude.ai in the browser, in Claude Desktop, and in Claude Code. If your account is on a team/business plan you may be blocked from adding connectors yourself. In that case, reference Team AI assistant setup.

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Add a custom connector and paste https://mcp.ventur3.com.
  3. Sign in to Ventur3 and choose Allow on the approval screen.

ChatGPT

ChatGPT requires developer mode for a custom connector. Developer mode is available on paid ChatGPT plans. That requirement is OpenAI's, not a Ventur3 plan limit. If your account is on a team/business plan you may be blocked from adding connectors yourself. In that case, reference Team AI assistant setup.

  1. Turn on developer mode in ChatGPT.
  2. Add a custom connector and paste https://mcp.ventur3.com.
  3. Sign in to Ventur3 and choose Allow on the approval screen.

Gemini

The Gemini command-line tool can connect with the same address and the same Ventur3 approval. If your account is on a team/business plan you may be blocked from adding connectors yourself. In that case, reference Team AI assistant setup.

The Gemini app supports custom connectors on the web only, for personal Google accounts in the United States, age 18 or older. That is Google's restriction. The Gemini mobile app and Google Workspace accounts do not offer this, so a missing option there does not mean your Ventur3 account is broken.

Grok

Grok can connect through the same address and the same Ventur3 sign-in and approval. Where Grok puts the option to add a custom connector changes between versions of the app, so this guide does not list menu names. If you cannot find a way to add a connector, that version of Grok does not offer it yet. If your account is on a team/business plan you may be blocked from adding connectors yourself. In that case, reference Team AI assistant setup.

VS Code and Cursor

VS Code and Cursor connect the same way: add a custom connector with https://mcp.ventur3.com, sign in to Ventur3, and approve access. These are developer tools, for people who already use them to write software.

What you can do once connected

Think of the connector as a user interface for your third-party AI assistant. Context about your events are now accessible to the agent without needing to provide it manually. Including in your first prompt on a new chat "Use the Ventur3 connector" will ensure the assistant knows where to look.

Powerful use cases include pulling analytics about your events and preferred venues or generating reports about RFP's. For example, prompting an assistant "Use the Ventur3 connector to generate a proposals comparison slide deck for my most recent RFP." can get you a nice slide deck you can share with clients.
